Concrete Presentation for SIAP members at VerteX design studio

We had a nice event with SIAP members on February 25 th 2016. We talked about history of concrete and future of concrete. Talking about what are the GFRC glass fiber reinforced concrete, self consolidating concrete, UHPC ultra high performance concrete, fabric concrete, fabric formed concrete, autoclaved concrete, translucent concrete, bendable concrete as well as parametric forming for concrete. Also we go over the work example done by VerteX design studio in past and experience we achieved.

Pooya Goudarzi have talked about history of concrete in Iran and use of exposed concrete during the contemporary era like contemporary museum of art in Tehran by Kamran Diba. then he goes and cover the history of concrete in ancient rome and use of concrete in modern architecture in modernism era of architecture. Then use of concrete in day to day life like countertop, sinks, furnitures, facade and decorative objects.

Pooya also talk about the exhibition experience with in Alt build Expo, Dwell on Design, A+D museum and Abbot Kinney Festival.

Pooya has been a member of SIAP community since 2003 and has been served as board member on 2009.
